Werner Lindemann, Till's father, was one of the most renowned authors of the GDR. To mark the centenary of his birth on October 7, 2026, many media outlets in Germany paid tribute to him.
An event entitled "100 Jahre Werner Lindemann – Was bleibt" ("100 Years of Werner Lindemann – What Remains?") was held at the Kunsthalle in Rostock. "Father," a song in German written by Till, whose composer remains unknown to date, was played on this occasion. It can be listened to, along with the entire event, on the NDR website, which broadcast the event.
The lyrics of the song, along with their English translation, are available on our site.
